The degree to which expo construction has spread into other fields is underlined by observing a number of recent international trade fairs::
• "Maintain" Munich: International maintenance trade fair
• "BauKon" Munich: Trade fair for building supplies and materials
• "Spielwarenmesse" toys and games fair, Nuremberg: The world’s leading toys, games, hobby and leisure fair.
• "Cartes" Paris: We were able to realise a large number of projects for various clients at this fair for safety
& security technology.
MCE’s 70 m² stand at the Maintain Munich was particularly interesting due to the curved sail surround, coated with a special printed surface. A cosy, inviting discussion area was also set up with pulpits, tall tables and bar stools.
At the BauKon in Munich we were responsible for the stands of the companies Villi-Glas and Ertl Glas. Villi-Glas ordered an 80m² with conventional cladding and tasteful and yet individual details. The overall size of the Ertl Glas stand was 154m² and accentuated by the use of well positioned glass elements. One special feature was the integration of illuminated glass floor tiles into the wooden floor, each of which contained advertising.
One big attention grabber at the ‘Spielwarenmesse’ toys and games fair in Nuremberg staged at the beginning of February was the Stadlbauer stand. This creative bespoke stand was constructed using the Octanorm system and covered a total area of 895m² incl. a two-storey construction, giving visitors plenty of room to play and to test out the specially assembled race track.
One of the big highlights of the ‘Cartes’ in Paris – Villepinte – the largest trade fair worldwide for smart-card-technologies was the ‘Austria Cartes’ stand.
The elaborate corner stand set-up covered a total of 92m² was achieved using conventional construction methods, and which were enhanced with chipboard cladding elements to produce a very elegant and special design.
